As an Illinois resident (albeit one who did NOT NOT NOT vote for Blago), I apologize to everyone who now has to learn how to pronounce his name.
One of my most embarrassing moments in a decade of live radio work was the day I mispronounced it myself – 4 times. I finally gave up after the fourth mispronunciation and with an attempt at great dignity said “I’m sorry, I just can’t get it right today” and went on. Now I avoid his name if at all possible and instead use one of his many nicknames – Hot Rod, G-Rod, Blago, Felon. They’re all good.
