I had no idea what this was and had to watch it ’til the end, seeing as you NEVER post video on your site. I thought it was going to warn me of the second-coming or something.

    Breathtaking none-the-less.

I haven’t seen this yet, actually. I’d heard of the guy, but never bothered to look him up. Thanks. Yeah, definitely with the goosebumps.

Congrats on the new little one!

    Me too, Tony.
one would have to be an insensitive boor to not get goosebumps listening to, and seeing Paul sing.

  4. Angela

Thanks for sharing that, I haven’t seen it and yes it is amazing!
Congrats on the new little one…wow, 4 boys, love them good and squeeze them tight, as you know, they grow too fast, and how sad is that.
    Love you! Angela (from NC)

Oh my. That’s the first time I’ve ever seen that..and I was right with those Grandma’s and the judge–tears in my eyes!! Totally amazing.

Thanks Tony, you made my morning 🙂

Wow. Hadn’t seen it. Excellent song choice. Do you ever wonder how many people are out there with massively good but hidden talent?

  7. Donna

Simon: “I like shows where somebody isn’t a professional, has a talent, isn’t aware of it, has a normal job and then you see something else.” I don’t think I’ve got any talent, but I know that I’m doing a normal job and I hope that I will see something else. Beside the fact the man beautifully sang a very moving piece of music, what I liked the best is that he was hidden but now we see something else. “1 John 3:2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.” This man made me yearn for what I do not now see, but for which I hope.

As I watched this man and heard his tremendous gift, I suddenly became acutely aware of how shallow and banal so much of our popular music is today. His performance stands out like a beacon, shining through the dim, bewildering fog of all those other contestants and their “pop sensibilities.”

I know I sound like an old fuddy-duddy. Trust me, I enjoy a good love ballad as much as the next guy. But this guy and his music are in a whole different league.

Wow, wow… yes, goosebumps, chills, and tears. Absolutely thrilling … such a beautifully humble man with such a fantastic gift. Wow.
